About Hollywood Fresh Product Project

According to Map the Meal Gap, an analysis of food insecurity in the U.S. conducted by Feeding America in collaboration with the Howard G. Buffet Foundation and The Nielsen Company, 15.5 percent of Broward county residents are suffering from food insecurity with more than 33% of those households with one or more seniors and 63% of those seniors are faced with the impossible choice to buy groceries or medical care.  We feel we can bridge this gap by harvesting fresh produce that will otherwise be wasted.
